I took two recipes & combined them to make these Spicy Canned Banana Pepper

  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced in half
  • 2 tsp whole black peppercorn
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard seed
  • 1 1/2 C water
  • 1 1/2 C white vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp kosher salt, or pickling salt
  • 4 cups banana peppers, about 10-12 peppers
  • 2 teaspoons whole black peppercorn
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard seed
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt, or pickling salt
