  • Cake:
  • 1/2 cup butter , softened 125 mL (I used canola oil)
  • 1 cup sugar 250 mL
  • 2 eggs 2
  • 1 1/2 cups ROBIN HOOD® All Purpose Flour 375 mL
  • (I used 1 tsp baking soda)
  • 1 tsp baking powder 5 mL (will use 1/2 tsp baking powder)
  • 1/4 tsp salt 1 mL
  • 1/2 cup milk 125 mL
  • 1/4 cup poppy seeds 50 mL
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest 15 mL (I used lemon zest from 1 lemon)
