- 3 - 4 pound whole chicken - kosher or free range is best
- 4 ounces pinot grigio or chicken broth
- 2 TBSP dark brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sage
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt or finely minced garlic
