- 2 large bell peppers cut in half lengthwise and insides removed.
- (there is a lot of the meat mixture so more peppers could be used)
- 3/4 lb. ground beef (or grd. pork, grd. lamb or bulk sausage)

- Meat filling:
- 1 lb. round steak
- 6 med. potatoes, peeled or not - whatever your family prefers
- 1 sm. to med. onion
- Cut the steak and potatoes into very small cubes. Dice the onion and toss with the potatoes and steak. Salt and Pepper to taste and set aside.
- Crust:
- 3 cups flour
- 11/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 cup solid Crisco
- 1/2 cup milk & 1/2 cup water combined to make 1 cup liquid
