- 3 -4 medium potatoes , peeled and cut in quarters
- 2 tablespoons milk or 2 tablespoons light cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 ⁄8; teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups chopped cabbage
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons butter (for frying)

In large saucepan, bring 2 quarts water to a boil; add kohlrabi and cook until tender-crisp, about 2 minutes
- 6 medum kohlrabi,pared & julienned
- 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar

- 1 1/2 tsp. minced pared ginger root
