Chaat Masala

"Chaat" refers to various snacks and to the North Indian cafes that serve them
- 2 tablespoons cumin seeds
- 1 1/2 teaspoons fennel seeds
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 1 tablespoon mango powder
- 1 tablespoon black salt
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 pinch asafetida powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger, ground
Sugar Cookies

*Butter – The butter needs to be soft, or room temperature
- 2 1/2 cups Butter ((at room temperature))
- 2 cups White Sugar
- 2 large Eggs
- 3 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 5 cups Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
The Best Spaghetti Sauce

In a large pot saute onion, garlic, green pepper and fresh parsley in olive oil and wine
- 1 quart diced tomatoes
- 2 small cans tomato paste
- 1 can mushrooms
- 1/2 large onion
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 green pepper, diced, optional
- 1/2 bundle fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 pint marinara sauce
- italian seasoning
- 4 bay leaves, whole, a must!
- pinch chili pepper, dried
- salt
- garlic powder
- oregano
- olive oil
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 lb. ground beef
Ginger Chicken Broth

Put everything in a large pot and bring it to a rapid boil then turn down heat
- as many chicken bones as you can fit into a pot (I even save the cooked ones from a baked chicken)
- 1 sliced onion
- 3 stalks celery, sliced
- fresh ginger about 1 tbsp or 2-3 slices
- red pepper flakes about 1/4 tsp
- garlic cloves 2
- peppercorns about 8
- bay leaves 2/3
- lemon zest from 1/2 a lemon
- oregano about 1/2 tsp. (if you want) optinal
- salt
- 1 vegetable bouillon cube or one you like.
French Omelet

In a small bowl, combine the eggs, egg substitute, milk, salt and pepper
- 2 large Egg (Whole)
- 1/2 cup Egg Substitute
- 1/4 cup Milk, Nonfat (Nonfat)
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 1/8 tsp Ground Pepper (Black)
- 1/4 cup Ham, Sliced (Extra Lean, Sliced)
- 1 Tbsp. Minced Onions (chopped)
- 1 Tbsp. Black Pepper (Green)
- 1/4 cup Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
Asian Dressing - Fat Free

Quick and easy and only 1
- 1/4 cup Bragg's Liquid Aminos (or Lite Soy Sauce)
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons grated ginger root
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tsp. agave
- Chili Powder, or crushed red chilies to taste (optional)
Breakfast Casserole

Layer first 4 ingredients in order given in 9 x 13 pan
- 8 slices bread cubes, crusts removed
- 2 cups medium cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 1/2 cups ham, cubed
- 1 can mushroom pieces, drained
- 6 eggs, well beaten
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
Homemade Tomato Paste

This may be canned or poured into ice cube trays and frozen, to use when needed!
- 8 quarts roma tomatoes, about 4 dozen (or other meaty tomatoes)
- 1 1/2 cups sweet red peppers, chopped (about 3)
- 1 cup chopped onion (optional)
- 2 bay leaves
- 3 tablespoons fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons oregano (optional)
- 1-2 tablespoon honey (optional-if you want it a little sweeter)
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
Sauteed Mushrooms and Snow Peas with an Asian Flare

In a skillet or wok over medium heat, heat oil
- 1 tablespoon grapeseed oil or olive oil or coconut oil
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 5 medium crimini mushrooms, sliced (or regular white mushrooms will do)
- 1 lb bag of snow peas
- 3 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce (or my favorite, Trader Joe's Soyaki sauce)
- Sea salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
Beer Dip

1. I used an electric stand mixer to mix up the dip
- 1/2 of a bottle of your fav beer
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 8oz bricks of cream cheese
- 1 packet of ranch dressing mix
