The Best Fried Turkey recipe I have found since 2001

  • Supplies Needed:
  • 1- 35 1- 35 to 40 40 gallon Turkey Deep Fryer Rig with filled propane tank
  • A turkey stand and approved turkey hanger are helpful, but a cooking basket will work fine alone, as well.
  • to Syringe to inject marinade into turkey. Buy the good ones, if you think you’ll do this often.
  • to 24 Turkey Bag, for turkey to marinade in for 24 hours
  • to 24 to 1st bag, which will need to be tied secure for the 24 hour marinade process on the outside of the Oven Roaster Bag, to catch any leakage from the 1st bag.
  • For the Marinade:
  • 1 1 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 Tablespoon Crab and Shrimp Boil/ Old Bay type seasoning
  • 1/8 1/8 1/8 cup apple cider
  • 1/3 1/2 cup and 1/2 cup honey
  • 6 6 6 oz beer (Yuengling is our preference)
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 Tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 Tablespoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup Tony Chachere Cajun Shake/ Creole Seasoning
  • 1/8 1/8 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Dash Dash ground cloves
  • For the Seasoning Mix:
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup kosher salt

  • 2 LBS Frozen Diced Hash Browns (thaw) (if shredded it gets more creamy) (we use the ones in the green pkg in the refrigerated section.

  • 1 medium white sweet (Vidalia) onion
  • 1 can Healthy Request Cream of Chicken Soup (Cream of Celery, is ok as well)
  • 16 oz Sour Cream
  • 12 oz finely shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 tsp Salt ( or “Morton’s Hot Salt” or “Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning”)
  • This makes enough for 8 - 12 people (or more)
