Best Chili
- 1 1/2 c onion chopped
- 5lbs ground beef
- 6 tbsp chili powder
- 1 can tomatoes 14.5 oz
- 1 can tomato paste 6oz
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp Tabasco or franks
- 2 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 3 cans ranch style or chili beans
- 3 cans water
Triple Berry Cake

Preheat the oven to 350. Stir together the wet ingredient and mix in the sugar
- For the cake:
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- vanilla
- 1 tbsp lemon zest
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 baking soda
- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup of milk
- For the Raspberry Whipped Cream:
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 3 tbsp confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup finely crushed freeze dried raspberries (I used the Just Fruit Brand)
- For the Glaze and filling:
- 2 cups strawberries
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup blueberries
- 3 tbsp sugar
Banana Bread Cupcakes with Buttercream Frosting

Cupcakes: Cream shortening and vanilla; beat in sugar until mixture is light
- Cupcakes:
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/3 cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- dash ground cloves
- 3/4 cup mashed banana
- Frosting:
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick/4 oz./113g) butter, at room temperature
- 3 cups confectioners' (icing) sugar, sifted
- 3 to 5 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Food coloring, if tinting frosting

- 2 medium red sweet peppers, cut into 3/4-in pieces

- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 c boiling water
- 1/4 tsp crushed hot red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp salt

- 1 (6 oz) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
