Broccoli With Sesame Seeds

By june
Stir together first 7 ingredients
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 green onions, sliced
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 tsp dried crushed red pepper
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 lb fresh broccoli, trimmed and separated into florets
Spinach Salad with Honey Dressing and Honeyed Pecans

By june
Toss together first 4 ingredients and 1/3 cup dressing
- 1 (6 oz) package baby spinach
- 1 cup quartered fresh strawberries
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
- Honey Dressing
- 3 to 4 cooked bacon slices, crumbled
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
- Honeyed Pecans
Special Sesame Chicken Salad

Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and place in a very large bowl
- 1 package (16 oz) bow tie pasta
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2/3 cups white wine vinegar
- 2/3 cups teriyaki sauce
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 3 cans (11 oz each) mandarin oranges, drained
- 2 cans (8 oz each) sliced water chestnuts, drained
- 2 cups cubed cooked chicken
- 1 1/3 cups honey roasted peanuts
- 1 package (9 oz) fresh spinach, torn
- 1 package (6 oz) dried cranberries
- 6 green onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup minced fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds, toasted
Busy Day El Rancho Chicken

Combine soups, undrained tomatoes with chilies, green pepper, onion, chili powder, and black pepper
- 1 10 3/4-oz can reduced-sodium condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 10 3/4-oz can reduced-sodium condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 10-oz can diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 medium, green sweet pepper, chopped (3/4 cup)
- 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
- 1 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 12 6- or 7-inch corn tortillas, cut into thin bite-size strips
- 3 cups cubed chicken
- 1 8-oz pkg (2 cups) shredded cheddar cheese
Jambalaya

In a dutch oven, combine first 10 ingredients with water, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and smoked sausage
- 1 cup long grain rice
- 3 tbsp dried minced onion
- 1 tbsp dried parsley flakes
- 1 tbsp beef bouillon granules
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 (14-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 pound fully cooked smoked sausage, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 1/2 to 3/4 pound medium, fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
Baked French Toast

- 1 loaf French bread, cut diagonally in 1 inch slices (1 lb)
- 6 eggs
- 2 cups half-and-half
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 1/3 cups brown sugar
- 3 tbsp light corn syrup
Decadent Chocolate Cake

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Coat two 9x1 1/2-inch round cake pans with nonstick cooking spray
- 4 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/3 cups milk
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 pkg (12 oz) white chocolate chips
- 1 container (8 oz) dairy sour cream
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar
Quick Mu Shu Pork

In a medium bowl, combine pork, sherry, 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 tbsp dry sherry
- 2 tbsp lower-sodium soy sauce
- pepper
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed with press
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1 cup diced jicama
- 1 bag (14 oz) coleslaw mix
- 2 tbsp water
- 3 green onions, thinly sliced, plus additional for garnish
- 1 tsp sugar
- 8 soft taco-size (8 in) flour tortillas
- 8 tsp hoisin sauce
Cranberry -Orange Muffins

By june
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 1/3 cups granulated sugar, divided
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tbsp orange zest
- 2 1/2 cups plus 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup plain yellow cornmeal
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp table salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups fresh cranberries, coarsely chopped
- Vegetable cooking spray
- 4 1/2 tsp fresh orange juice
- 4 1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice
- Turbinado sugar (optional)

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature, chopped into cubes
- 3 oz unsweetened chocolate, chopped finely
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup milk
