- PASTRY CRUST
- 2 1/4 cups whole-wheat flour, plus extra for rolling out the dough
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cold, unsalted butter, 2 sticks
- 1/2 cup water plus ice
- 1 egg beaten

- 1/2 cup minced onion
- 2 cups (1/4-inch) diced peeled butternut squash

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground

- 1 (11.3-ounce) can refrigerated dinner roll dough
- 1 tablespoon honey mustard
- 2 teaspoons water

Mushroom Turnovers

Combine butter, onion and mushrooms in frying pan
- CREAM CHEESE PASTRY:
- 8 oz. Cream cheese
- 1/2 cup Butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
- Have cheese and butter at room temperature. Put into bowl and beat together well. Mix in flour. Shape into ball. Chill at least 1 hour.
- FILLING
- 3 tbsps. Butter or margarine
- 1 Large onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 lb. Fresh mushrooms, chopped
- 2 tbsps. All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1/4 tsp. Pepper

- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 oz soft goat cheese, room tempeature
- 2 Tbsp finely chopped Italian parsley
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp grated lemon peel

- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1-3/4 cups canned claw or lump crabmeat (8 oz)
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp whipping cream or milk

- 6 oz cream cheese, at room temperature
- 16 tbsp (2 sticks) butter, at room tempurature
- 2 1/4 cups AP flour

- Mushroom-Sausage Filling:
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 lb pork sausage
- 1/2 cup sauteed mushrooms (my addition)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 2 large egg yolks, lightly beaten
- 2 tbsp chopped Italian flat-leaf parsley
- Egg wash made with one egg lightly beaten with 1 tbsp of cream, milk or water
