1. Position a rack in the lower third of the oven and preheat the oven to 350

Braised Beef Brisket With Sweet Onions

Preheat oven to 325. Sprinkle brisket evenly with salt and pepper
- 1 (3 1/2 lbs) beef brisket trimmed
- 1 teas salt
- 1 teas ground black pepper

- 6 large sweet onions, thinly sliced
