Nuts and Bolts

Heat oven to 250 degrees
- 6 tbsp butter or margarine
- 4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp seasoned salt or 3/8 tsp garlic powder and 3/8 tsp salt
- 2 cups Krispix
- 2 cups Cheerios
- 2 cups pretzel sticks
- 2 cups Cheeze Bits or Goldfish
- 1 cup peanuts (if desired)
Green Bean Casserole

To make white sauce, melt butter in small saucepan over low heat
- 1 1/2 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 3 to 4 tsp dry ranch style salad dressing mix
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh muchrooms
- 1 1/4 lb fresh green beans, cooked until crisp-tender
- 1 cup fresh bread crumbs, toasted
Banana Bread (Regular)

Beat together margarine and sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 big ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
Wild Rice

Prepare Uncle Ben's as directed
- 1 6oz pkg Uncle Ben's Long Grain Wild Rice Mix
- 1 cup cooked Minute Rice
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 3 tbsp margarine
- 1/4 cup soya sauce
- 1 3oz can sliced mushrooms
- 1 3oz can chestnuts, drained and sliced
- 1/3 cup slivered almonds
Marshmallow Squares

For the base, beat the butter and icing sugar together
- Topping:
- 2 tbsp gelatine soaked in 1/2 cup cold water
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1/2 cup blanched almonds
- 1/2 cup glazed cherries
- Base:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup icing sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
Can-Can Chicken

In a small bowl, combine the first seven ingredients
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1 broiler/fryer chicken (3-1/2 to 4 pounds)
- 1 can (12 ounces) beer
Christmas Morning Wifesaver

In a 9x13 inch buttered glass baking dish, put 8 pieces of bread
- 16 slices bread - crust removed
- Slices of ham or back bacon
- Slices of sharp chedar cheese
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2-1 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 cup minced onion
- 1/4 cup green pepper - finely chopped opt.
- 1-2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3 cups milk
- Dash of tabasco
- 1/2 cup butter
- Special K or crushed Corn Flakes
Oriental Salad

Combine salad ingredients and set aside
- DRESSING:
- 1/2 medium head cabbage- grated
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1 pkg Ichiban noodles, crushed
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 Tbsp sesame seeds
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup oil
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp soya sauce
- flavour packet from the soup package
Cabbage and Apple Slaw

Combine salad ingredients in a bowl
- Shredded cabbage
- Chopped or grated apple (skin intact)
- Chopped Celery
- Green Onion
- Mayonnaise
- Sugar to taste
- Milk
Barbecued Pork Tenderloin

Combine first 4 ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag, add pork
- MARINADE:
- 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
- 2 tbsp cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp spicy brown mustard
- 1 tbsp dark molasses
- 2 1 pound pork tenderloins, trimmed
- DRY RUB:
- 1 cup finely ground coffee
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 2 tbsp coarsley ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp sea or kosher salt
- BASTE:
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 tbsp cider vinegar
