Directions Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F
- Ingredients
- 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 medium eggs
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Pepper Steak

Rub steaks with garlic salt
- dash of garlic salt
- black pepper corn
- 1/4 butter (real)
- 1/2 cup brandy
- 2/3 cup cream
Meat Loaf (Jenny)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 slices firm textured bread finely crumbled
- 2 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion, minced
- 1/2 cup minced celery
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- Glaze
- 2 Tbs brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/2 cup ketchup
Cranberry Salad

Grind 2 cups cranberrys, 1 orange whole, 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups cranberrys
- 1 orange
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 packs strawberry jello
- 3 1/2 cups warm water
- juice from crushed pineapple
- 1 cup celery
- 1 apple
- 1 cup nuts
- 1 can crushed pineapple
Pina Colada Wedges

Beat cream cheese with sugar and extract until smooth
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. rum extract
- 3 1/2 c. Cool Whip
- 8 1/4 oz. can crushed pineapple in syrup
- 2 2/3 c. (7 oz.) coconut
Wild Rice Casserole

Place butter and soups in a 1 1/2 quart casserole and place in 350 degree oven until butter is melted
- 1/2 cup butter
- 10 1/2 oz can beef consume, undiluted
- 10 1/2 oz can onion soup, undiluted
- 8 oz can water chestnut (I use 4oz) slice, drained
- 8 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained (i use 4oz)
- 6 oz box long-grain and wild rice
Sugar Cookies from Mom's Recipe Collection

1. Mix dry (flour, baking powder) ingredients in separate bowl and set aside
- 3/4 C butter crisco (1 1/2 sticks parkay)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 3 C flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla flavoring
- 1/4 C milk
Savory Shrimp

- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 pinch parsley
- 3/4 tsp basil
- 1/2 tsp oragano
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt or 2 cloves of garlic
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp fresh ground pepper
- 2 t. lemon juice
- 1/2 lbs shrimp

- puree (watered down)
- salt

- hot italian sausage

- 8 cups frozen diced or shredded hash browns (one 32-ounce package)
- 20 whole frozen mini potato wedges or steak fries
- Canola oil, for frying
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced (optional)
- 1 1/2 cups diced ham
