Craisin Maple Sauce for Ham Steak

Using Crasin's instead of raisins and diet maple syrup instead of brown sugar, makes this easier and less carbs and calories

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup diet maple syrup or Splenda packed brown sugar blend
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1-1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup Crasins or more if you like
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice or orange juice
- 1/4 teaspoon grated lemon peel or grated orange peel
- 2 tablespoons butter

Step 1
In a saucepan, combine syrup or Splenda brown sugar, cornstarch and mustard. Stir in the water, Crasins, juice and peel until blended. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in butter until melted. In separate skillet sprayed with pam, heat ham steak. Either add sauce to the ham skillet or serve warm over sliced ham. Yield: 2 cups.
