Ingredients

  • Notes and variation:
  • 1 1 1 cup almond milk (or regular milk)
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 1/2 1 cup frozen ripe banana chunks (about 1 small banana)
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup raw, uncooked oats (the quick-cooking kind)
  • 1 1 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (see non-powder variation below)
  • 1 1 3s!) tablespoon chia seeds or hemp hearts (for Omega 3s!)
  • Dash Dash cinnamon
  • ick.

Preparation

Step 1

Whirl all smoothie ingredients in a blender until smooth.  Drink immediately. Enjoy!

Notes and variation:
If you aren’t using frozen fruit, you’ll need to add several ice cubes to make the smoothie nice ‘n’ cold. Your banana must be RIPE, as in spotty/speckled. Don’t even dream of using a green, unripe banana! If you don’t have vanilla protein powder, or don’t like protein powder, add ¾ cup (6 oz container) vanilla-flavoured Greek yogurt. You might need to add a bit more milk if the smoothie is too thick.
