Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup washed raisins
  • 1 1/2 cups leftover cooked rice
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp. flour
  • 6 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Scald the milk, raisins and rice in top of double boiler. Stir in a smooth mixture of the egg, flour and sugar. Turn heat to low and cook and stir until thickened, about 10 minutes.

Add the flavourings and keep hot until serving time. Serve with cereal cream.

Serves 6.
