Citrus Marinated Flank Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 flank steak
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • salt
  • pepper
  • grated peel and juice of 1 lemon
  • grated peel and juice of 2 oranges
  • 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2-3 tbsp minced fresh cilantro

Preparation

Step 1

Place steak in bowl or large ziplock plastic bag and season both sides with chili powder and salt & pepper to taste. Add lemon and orange peel and juice, garlic and cilantro. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Grill or pan-sear the steak.

To serve, slice the steak on the bias. This goes well with fajitas or with rice pilaf and corn.
