1) In a large bowl, beat together the brown sugar, butter or shortening, molasses, and egg until blended

- 3/4 cup brown sugar (dark or light), packed
- 3/4 cup (12 tablespoons) butter or shortening
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 large egg
- 2 1/2 cups King Arthur Gluten-Free All-Purpose Baking Mix*
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves or allspice
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar, for coating

1 Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan)
- 1 box (1 lb 2.4 oz) Betty Crocker™ Original Supreme Premium brownie mix
- Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box
- 1 cup Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy vanilla frosting (from 16 oz container)
- 1/2 cup salted peanuts, coarsely chopped
- 2 cups crisp rice cereal
- 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 1/3 cups (8 oz) semisweet chocolate chips

- 2/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup uncooked long grain rice
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 2/3 cup Pumpkin Puree (see Recipe Center) or canned pumpkin
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup dried cranberries or raisins
- 1 medium red apple and/or green pear, cored and thinly sliced (1 cup)
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts, toasted
