Basic White Sandwich Bread

Fresh hot bread straight out of the oven isn't as hard as you think, and, oh so worth the effort
- 2 teaspoons active-dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup milk - whole, 2%, or skim
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Hamburger Meal in One

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup crushed butter-flavored crackers
- 1/4 cup chili sauce
- 2 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 green and/or red bell peppers, cut into 1-inch chunks
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (10 1/2 3/4 ounce)can condensed cream of mushroom soup

- 1+1/2 -2 pounds ground chuck
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper (or 1/2 cup chopped sweet peppers), chopped

- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 can (8 ounces) sliced water chestnuts, drained and chopped
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh mushrooms
- 1 celery rib, finely chopped
- 4 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 4 teaspoons canola oil
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon prepared wasabi
- 8 sesame seed hamburger buns, split
- 3 cups shredded Chinese or napa cabbage

- 1 medium-sized onion, peeled and thinly sliced

- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 long (16- to 20-ounce) French baguette bread

HEAT oven to 350 degrees MIX ingredients; spoon into 9-inch quiche dish or pie plate
- 1 -can (14 oz.) artichoke hearts, drained, finely chopped
- 1 -pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, well drained
- 3/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 3/4 cup Light Mayo Reduced Fat Mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup 2% Milk Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/2-tsp. garlic powder

- 2 cups broccoli florets or 1 package (10 ounces) frozen broccoli

King Ranch Casserole

- 1 large green bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 (10-3/4-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 to 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 12 corn tortillas, cut into 1/2-inch strips
- 4 cups diced cooked chicken
- 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
