Cherry-Oat Country Bread

- 1 cup dried cherries
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats, plus additional for sprinkling on top of the loaves
- 1 (1/4 ounce) pkg. rapid rise yeast (2 1/4 t.)
- 1 cup unbleached bread flour
- 1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour, plus more as needed
- 1 1/4 t. fine salt
- 1 1/4 cups warm water, about 130 degrees F.
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/3 cup sunflower oil (Sunflower oil is very high in monounsaturated fats ("good" fats). If you cannot find sunflower oil, you may use safflower oil or canola oil)

- 1 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3 Tablespoons honey
- 2 Tablespoons vinegar

- 1 to 2 cups of white, red or mixed grapes (you can buy these in bulk when they are on sell and freeze them!)
- 1 handful of strawberries with stems (approximately 4 to 6 strawberries)
- 1/2 of a banana (peeled - be as smart as monkeys!)
- 1 orange (remove outer zest only leaving as much of the white pith as possible)
- 1/4 to 1/2 of an apple (Fuji is really sweet) with seeds, stems, cores, peels
