Use the remaining 2 cups or so of the starter and add: 2 eggs 1 c

  • On the first day you get Herman you must feed him 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of milk and 1/2 cup of sugar.
  • Feed him again on the 5th day, bake him on the 10th day.
  • Keep Herman in the refrigerator in a large covered glass bowl. Stir him once each day with a wooden spoon.
  • On baking day measure out 1 cup of starter for yourself and 1 cup for a friend. This becomes the first day again.
