Creamy Chicken Crescent Roll-ups

Chicken roll-ups are fun, weeknight dinners
- ◦1-2 cans of canned chicken (or roughly the same amount of shredded chicken)
- ◦1 8 oz. package cream cheese
- ◦2 Tbsp. milk
- ◦salt and pepper to taste
- ◦2 cans crescent rolls
- ◦2 c. crushed croutons (you can also use the Parmesan Shake n' Bake)

- 1 tablespoon hot sauce*

- 1-2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoon vegetable shortening oil or dripping
- 1 cup finely chopped cooked chicken gizzard
- 1 cup finely chopped celery
- 1 medium green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon sage (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon poultry season (adjust to taste)

- 1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 can (15 ounces) ranch-style beans (pinto beans in seasoned tomato sauce)
- 1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes with mild green chilies, undrained
- 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
