  • 1/2 c olive oil
  • 1/2 c soy sauce
  • 1/2 c bourbon
  • 2 small onions – thinly sliced
  • 2 large cloves garlic – minced
  • 3 T grated fresh ginger root
  • 1 t fresh ground pepper
  • 1 t dry mustard
  • OPTIONAL: 1/4 c brown sugar – or to taste
  • Variation: substitute Sherry for the bourbon
