- 1 3/4 cup cornmeal
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt

- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 4 tablespoons honey
FRENCH ONION SOUP I

Slice 6-8 onions very thin, setting aside one whole onion
- 7-9 yellow onions
- 2 tbsp. oil
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. sale
- 6 c. beef broth
- 2 c. dry white wine
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 8 slides French bread
- 1 c. grated Swiss or gruyere cheese
CHUNKY CHOCOLATE COOKIE MIX IN A JAR

Layer ingredients in order in a quart wide mouth canning jar
- 3/4 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. cocoa powder
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. jumbo chocolate chip morsels
- 1-3/4 c. flour mixed with
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
KINGS HAWAIIAN BREAD

Beat eggs; add pineapple juice, water, sugar, ginger, vanilla and melted margarine
- 6 cups plain flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teas. ginger
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 packages yeast
- 1 stick margarine
CHICKEN WINGS from DEB OLIN

Remove tips of wings. Refrigerate combined ingredients overnight
- 3 # chicken wings
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1/3 c. soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tbsp. oil
- 4 drops tobasco sauce

- 2 tbsp. chili sauce
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 2 tsp. salt
SOURDOUGH STARTER

In a 2 to 3-quart glass or ceramic jar or bowl, using a wooden or non-metallic spoon, mix yeast and warm water
- 1 (1/4-ounce) package active dry yeast or 2 1/2 teaspoons
- 2 cups room temperature, non-chlorinated water (or bottled water)
- 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
GARBANZO BEAN SOUP

Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil
- 2 cans garbanzo beans
- 1 (16 oz) can whole tomatoes
- 6-8 potatoes, bit size pieces
- 1 med. onion, chopped
- 1/2 # bacon, cooked, drained, bite size
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. parsley
- 1 tsp. sweet basil
- 1/2-3/4 tsp. chili powder or red pepper, crushed
- 1-2 bay leaves.
PEANUT BUTTER CUP COOKIE MIX

- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1-1/3 c. flour
