Green Beans with Mushrooms and Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans
  • 1 tsp of water
  • 4 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 med onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz of pre-sliced baby Portobella mushrooms
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 4 oz of lemon herb butter ( in seafood dept. at publix)

Preparation

Step 1

Trim beans, if needed, add water and microwave on high 3-4 minutes or until tender. Slice onion(1cup).

Drain beans. Preheat large saute pan on med-high for 2 or 3 minutes. Add beans, onion, mushrooms, and pepper; cook and stir 2-3 minutes or until onions begin to soften.

Stir in herb butter and cheese until melted.
