Cherry-Berry Chiller Smoothie

This frothy "milkshake" seems indulgent but makes a smart snack, thanks to low-glycemic strawberries and cherries. Calcium in the yogurt and antioxidants in the fruit add nutritional punch.

Ingredients
- SERVINGS: 2
- 1/2 c chilled unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/2 c 2% plain Greek-style yogurt
- 1 c frozen strawberries
- 1/2 c frozen sweet cherries (we used Earthbound Farm Organic)
- 1/4-1/2 c ice cubes

Step 1
Combine ingredients in high-power blender and puree until smooth. Divide between 2 glasses.

Variations:
Boost fiber: Blend in some oats for their soluble fiber, which helps balance glucose levels. Or try chia seeds, which also give you an omega-3 bonus.
Add staying power: Stir in natural peanut butter for satisfying protein.
Change the flavor: Add unsweetened cacao nibs or cocoa powder (good sources of antioxidants), a pinch of blood-pressure-lowering cinnamon, or a dash of vanilla or almond extract.
