  • 2 lb cooking apples (just a mix of apples)
  • 1/2 cup to 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg

Preparation

Step 1

Wash, core and slice apples measure about 7 1/2 cups

in Medium saucepan bring 1/2 cup water to a boil. add apples and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat, simmer covered for 20 to 25 minutes. Stir occasionally add water if needed

Put thru food mill.

then stir in sugar, lemon juice and spices.

can freeze for a year.
