Unstuffed Cabbage Soup

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 quart stewed tomatoes OR 2 15 oz. cans stewed or diced tomatoes
- 6 C. water
- 1 C. white or brown rice
- 1 large can tomato sauce
- 1/3 C. ketchup
- 2 T. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 t. chili powder
- 1 small head of cabbage OR 1/2 large head shredded OR 1 bag of cole slaw mix
- OPTIONAL: 1 can Rotel original diced tomatoes with jalapenos

Step 1
Brown ground beef with onion and garlic until no longer pink. Add tomatoes, water, rice, tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and chili powder. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add cabbage and simmer for another
30 minutes until cabbage is cooked through.
Salt and pepper to taste.
If you like it hot, add 1 can of Rotel tomatoes.
