Campfire Bananas Foster

By

Sweet, gooey, caramelized banana is just a campfire away. This recipe for bananas Foster requires nothing but a banana, some cinnamon sugar, and tinfoil; heat up and serve hot. If you want to make this at home, just assemble and put it in the oven at 425°F for 5 to 10 minutes. Either way, it’s best served with a splash of rum.

Preparation

Step 1

Slice an unpeeled banana lengthwise without cutting all the way through the top or bottom of the peel.

Gently open it so it’s like a boat, then fill with the brown sugar and cinnamon, pressing them into the flesh without squishing.

Wrap the banana tightly in foil.

Cook in the coals of the campfire, away from any active flames, for about 10 minutes. Serve hot.
