Butternut Squasch/ Apple Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lg fresh butter nut squash (pealed) or 2 bags frozen
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar.
  • salt and pepper for taste
  • 3 apples, pealed and thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbs white sugar
  • 2 cups total cereal
  • 2 - Tbs brown sugar
  • 2 - Tbs butter softened

Preparation

Step 1

mix sliced apples with cinnamon and sugar.
Boil then mash squash with butter, salt, pepper, 1/2 cup butter and nutmeg.

place apples in bottom of a 2 qt casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray, top with mashed butternut squash, spread over apples. Mix cereal with 2 Tbs butter, and 2 Tbs brown sugar. Spread over squash

bake at 350 for 30 min.
