Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 cup chopped dates
  • 2 cups rice crispies
  • Coconut to roll in

Preparation

Step 1

Put eggs, sugar, butter and dates in heavy skillet. Cook and mash dates; boil approximately 1 minute; remove from heat and add remaining ingredients except coconut. Let cool enough to handle; shape into balls and roll in coconut. Store in tight container.
