The best apple crisp recipe I have ever found. Excellent served warm with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Yum!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups granny smith apples, peeled, cored, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter

Preparation

Step 1

Arrange apples in a buttered 6x10 baking dish. Sprinkle apples with cinnamon, salt and water.

Combine the flour, sugar and butter with a pastry cutter. Mix until it has the consistency of corn meal. Sprinkle mixture over the apples.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
