Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy

This one definitely qualifies for the "comfort food" category. You probably had something like this more times that you care to remember while growing up and swore you'd never eat it again when you got older. This recipe may change your mind.
Ingredients
- Mushroom Gravy:
- 8 oz Lean Ground Beef
- 2 Tbsp + 2 Tsp Onion Finely Chopped
- 2 Tbsp Saltine Cracker Crumbs
- 1/2 Egg White, Lightly Beaten
- 1 Tbsp Milk
- 1 1/2 Tsp Prepared Horseradish
- 1/8 Tsp Salt
- Pinch of Pepper
- 3/4 Cup Brown Beef Gravy
- (12oz Jar = 1 1/2cups)
- 2 oz Mushrooms Sliced
- 1 Tbsp Water

Preparation
Step 1
In Medium bowl combine Salisbury steak ingredients, mixing lightly but thoroughly, shape into oval patties (1 for each serving) about 1/2 inch thick. Heat a large non-stick skillet and cook 7 to 8 minutes or until no longer pink and juices run clear, turning once. Remove from skillet and keep warm, Into same skillet, combine the gravy ingredients and cook over medium heat 3 to 5 minutes or until mushrooms are tender. Serve over salisbury steak and mashed potatoes. (if desired)
