Cook frozen peaches in sauce pan with 1/2 cup water, 1/4-1/2 cup sugar and 4 tablespoons butter. Bring to boil and simmer on low for 8-10 minutes until starts to thicken. (or decrease water to make thicker syrup)
Sift flour, 3/4 cup sugar and baking powder together and then add milk. Stir thoroughly. Melt 4 tablespoons butter in 9 x 9 inch square baking dish. Pour half of batter in bottom of pan over butter. Make sure bottom is covered by some batter. Next spoon in peach mixture. DO NOT STIR. Top with remaining half of batter and sprinkle with sugar mixed with a dash of cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
Note: sugar and butter can be increased or decreased depending on your taste. Also, double recipe for 13X9 or big foil pans worth of cobbler.
