Ingredients
- 1 21 oz can cherry pie filling
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup distilled white vinegar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation
Step 1
Grease a 9 x 13" pan and spread the pie filling evenly in the bottom. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Then take a second bowl and mix the water, oil, vinegar and vanilla. Dump liquid ingredients into dry. Stir. Pour over the cherry pie filling.
Bake at 350 deg for 35 minutes. Invert cooled cake onto a serving dish. Serve with chocolate sauce, whipped cream and more cherries.
