Stuffed Sweet Banana Peppers

Ingredients

  • 4 dozen peppers
  • 2 medium cabbage
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp celery seed
  • 1 cup salad oil

Step 1

DIRECTIONS:
Soak peppers in salt water. Remove seed. Prepare cabbage like slaw, stuff peppers with mixture. Use sprig of dill and garlic in bottom of pan.

Mist:
2 cups water
4 cups sugar
4 cups vinegar
Put in jars and then pour over peppers; add pinch of powdered alum and seal. Process 10 minutes in cold water bath.
