SAVOURY BEEF RIBS

Ingredients
- 2-1/2 lb. thinly sliced beef simmering short ribs
- 1/2 Tsp. each salt & pepper
- 1 large onion, thickly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 bottle dark ale
- 1/2 cup each sodium-reduced beef broth and water
- 2 Tbsp. Worchestershire Sauce
- 1 Tbsp. dry mustard

Preparation
Step 1
Sprinkle ribs all over with salt and pepper; place in roasting pan. Add onion, garlic, bay leaves, dark ale, beef broth, water, Worchestershire sauce and mustard; spoon some if the sauce over ribs.
Cover and roast in 325 degrees oven for 1 hour. Uncover and cook, bating every 30 min., until meat is tender enough to fall off the bone and sauce clings to ribs., 2 to 2-1/2 hours.
Place ribs on greased grill over medium-high heat; close lid and cook until crisp outside, about 10 min.
