  • 2 ripe avocados, preferably Haas, skin and pit removed
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon tabasco sauce, plus more to taste
  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh-ground black pepper
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cups canned low-sodium chicken broth or homemade stock
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 3), cut into approximately 1 1/2-by-1/4-by-1/4-inch strips

  • 1 1/3 Cups Milk
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 tab. Butter
  • 2 tab. Sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp. Salt
  • 1 C. white flour
  • 2 C. whole-wheat flour
  • ¼ C. cornmeal
  • 2 tab. Wheat gluten
  • 1 package (1/4 oz) dry yeast
  • Put all ingredients carefully and accurately into the bread maker in the order listed. I have put the dry ingredients minus the yeast into canning jars, tightly sealed and added the milk and honey as I was making the bread.
