"CRAB CHILI"

Strain beans in a colander and rinse well; pour into slow cooker
- 16 oz. red kidney beans
- 16 oz. black beans
- 28 oz. canned stewed tomatoes (Mexican style, if available)
- 1 6-oz. can tomato paste
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup tomato juice
- 2 green peppers, chopped
- 4 tbsp. Old Bay spice (season to taste)
- 1 red pepper, sliced
- 1 white onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 hot chili pepper sliced and seeded (optional)
- 2 lb. Maryland Crab meat
- 2 strips of cooked bacon (or 2 tbsp bacon bits)
- 2 tsp. to 2 tbsp. chili powder to taste
- 1 tbsp. cumin
- 1 tbsp Salt N Spice
- 1 tsp celery salt
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1 shot of Jack Daniel’s (or Crab Commander’s secret solution - Optional)
- Red onion, sour cream, Monterey Jack cheese, tortillas and tortilla chips for garnish

- 6-8 lemons or enough to produce 1 cup lemon juice (depending on their size and juiciness)
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups sugar (If you like your lemonade a little less sweet reduce the sugar to 1 cup)
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and divided
- 1 lemon, cut in thin slices
Slow Cooker Apple Crumble

Stir the flour, oats, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and nuts together in a large bowl until combined
- 1 c. flour, all purpose
- 1 c. oats, rolled, old fashioned
- 2/3 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. white sugar
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- pinch of salt
- 1 c. walnuts or pecans, roughly chopped (optional)
- 1 c. cold butter cut into pieces
- 6 c. apples, large, peeled cored and thickly sliced
- 4 to 5 T. apple juice

- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup flour
- 4 large eggs
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 large box (5.1 ounces) vanilla instant pudding
- 3 cups milk
- 1 8 oz. container cool whip (you won’t use the whole container) or one batch of homemade whipped cream
- chocolate syrup or homemade chocolate sauce

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced or halved.

- All you do is mix one instant vanilla pudding packet (or whatever flavor you would like) with half of the milk called for on the package.
- Whisk until it begins to thicken.
- Then fold in 1 8 oz container of Cool Whip.
- A great frosting ....spread on cakes and piped onto cupcakes, a tasty filling in crepes or on waffles along with some fruit...way less sugar too!

- 2 cups buttermilk or 2 cups milk plus 2 tablespoons vinegar or lemon juice
