Work shortening into flour and salt
- 2 c. shortening
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 7 c. flour
- 3 lb. ground beef
- 3 lb. diced potatoes

For the dough: Mix all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl until incorporated
- 2 pounds all-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon shortening (recommend: Crisco)
