Easy, Cheesy Slow-Cooker Nachos

We all love oven-backed nacho
- 1 can (14 to 19 oz) black beans, drained, rinsed and mashed
- 1 cup salsa
- 4 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 roasted peppers (poblanos or sweet), peeled and diced
- 1 roasted jalapeño, seeded and diced, or 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, minced
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
- Tortilla chips
- Small (2 to 3 1/2 quart) slow cooker
Grilled Spicy Steak

Preparation Combine TABASCO® Sauce, salt, garlic powder, thyme and allspice in a small bowl and mix well
- 2 teaspoons Original TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves
- 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 boneless beef top loin steak, about 1 pound
Loaded Baked Potato Salad

All the goodness of a loaded baked potato mixed together in salad form
- 4 large Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup freshly chopped chives, divided
- 8 strips of bacon (6 for the salad and 2 for topping) cooked and crumbled
- 1 tsp black pepper
- salt to taste
- Serves 4 - 6 (Simply double list of ingredients if you need a larger serving)
Black Magic Cake

1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans or one 13x9x2-inch baking pan
- 2 cups sugar
- 1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup HERSHEY’S Cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk or sour milk*
- 1 cup strong black coffee OR 2 teaspoons powdered instant coffee plus 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Clean Eating Strawberry Vinaigrette

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
- 1/2 pound fresh strawberries
- 2 tablespoon honey (or more to taste if your berries are not ver sweet)
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Creamy Tomato-Basil soup

Heat the butter and olive oil in a large pot over medium heat
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onions
- 3 pounds tomatoes - cored, peeled, and quartered
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh BASIL leaves
- salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
- 1 quart chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 sprigs fresh BASIL for garnish
Sugary Birthday Buttercream Frosting

Enough for filling & frosting a 3-layer, 8″ round cake Best used right away, for ideal spreading consistency
- 1 cup (227 g/2 sticks/8 oz) unsalted butter, softened
- 6 cups (750 g/1 lb + 10 oz) icing sugar (confectioners’)
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) whipping cream (35%)
- 2 tablespoons (30 mL) pure vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon (15 mL) water
- a pinch of salt
Raspberry Poppy Seed Vinaigrette

Make it, and love it…won’t you? (or strawberry, mixed berry, boysenberry…any berry jam will do) 1
- 3 T red onion, chopped
- 3 T raspberry jam (or strawberry, mixed berry, boysenberry…any berry jam will do)
- 1/4 C sugar
- 1/2 C + 2 T red wine vinegar
- 1 T honey mustard
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/2 C vegetable oil
- 1 T poppy seeds

Since I work with citric acid and baking soda, I always put medical mask first and then mix together soda and acid
- WHAT I USE: (for approx. 24 bombs)
- 1 1/3 cup Baking Soda - amazing for all-natural cleaning AND deodorizing!
- 1/2 cup Citric Acid - (low-strength acid that exists naturally in fruits like lemons & oranges) - used in many kitchen & bathroom cleaners for its cleaning, whitening & deodorizing properties
- 30 drops Lavender Essential Oil***
- 30 drops Peppermint Essential Oil***
- 30 drops Lemon Essential Oil***

Mother's Famous Chinese Egg Rolls Recipe

1. To make the filling, combine the ingredients for the ground pork together
- 50 Spring/Egg Roll Wrappers (about 2 packages), defrosted unopened at room temperature for 45 minutes or in the refrigerator overnight
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (or flour) mixed with 1/4 cup of cool water
- Oil, for frying
- FOR THE GROUND PORK
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- freshly ground black pepper
- FOR THE VEGETABLES
- 2 to 3 cloves garlic, very finely minced
- 1/2 head of cabbage (about 11 ounces)
- 3 carrots, shredded
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 10 fresh shiitake mushrooms (or dried black mushrooms soaked overnight), stems discarded
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil (canola, vegetable, peanut)
- 1 tablespoon Chinese rice wine
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
