SHORT RIB BOURGUIGNONNE

- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 3 to 4 pounds beef short ribs, cut into thirds
- 3 to 4 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup bacon, diced
- 2 large white onions, sliced
- 4 shallots, quartered
- 1 pound mushrooms
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1/2 cup carrots, diced
- 2 cups red wine
- 4 cups beef stock or to cover
SUGAR COOKIES - DROP

Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/2 coup flour
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
MACINTOSH APPLE CRISP

Preheat oven to 350 Toss apples, sugar and salt together
- 4 MacIntosh apples, peeled, cored and cut into large pieces
- ¼ cup sugar
- pinch of salt
- ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- ¾ cup flour
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
KNEPHLA SOUP

Put carrots, celery and potatoes in a kettle and add enough water to cover
- Dough:
- 3 14 1/2 oz cans chicken broth
- 2 cubes chicken bouillon
- 3/4 cup chopped carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 8 medium potatoes, cubed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 pints cream
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 4 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup water
CRANBERRY, PISTACHIO, WHITE CHOCOLATE BISCOTTI

Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and lemon zest
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, room temp
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup pistachios, coarsely chopped
- 2/3 cup dried cranberries, coarsely chopped
- 12 ounces white chocolate chips
OVERNIGHT TOSSED SALAD

Place half the lettuce in a large bowl
- 6 cups chopped lettuce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 6 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
- 1 (10 oz) pkg frozen peas
- 1/2 lb. bacon, crips-cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup sliced green onions and tops
- 1/2 cup sliced celery
- 2 cups shredded swiss cheese
- 1 1/4 cup mayonnaise
SHRIMP AND WILD RICE CASSEROLE

Mix all ingredients in order given
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 Tbsp chopped green pepper
- 2 tsp chopped onion
- 2 tsp melted butter
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 cups cooked wild and brown rice
- 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 cup cubed mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup uncooked shrimp
PARMESAN CHICKEN

Combine bread crumbs, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, 1 tsp Oregano, basil, salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup italian bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
- 1 1/2 tsp dried oregano, divided
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp water
- 4 boneless/skinless chicken breast halves
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 cup spagetti or marinara sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
COFFEE CAKE

Bring water, butter and salt to a boil
- FROSTING:
- 1 cup water
- 1 stick butter
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 cup flour
- 4 eggs
- 1 jar jelly/preserves
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 Tbsp milk
BETTY'S CARROT-NUT CAKE

Mix dry ingredients. Add remaining ingredients in order
- 3 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups cooking oil
- 2 cups grated carrot
- 3 eggs
- 1 small can crushed pineapple (undrained)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1 cup chopped raisins (optional)
