Preheat oven to 350* Butter the bottom of a loaf pan
- 2 cups coursely chopped dates (10 ounces)
- 1/3 cup Triple Sec
- 1/2 stick room temp butter
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar, lightly packed
- 1 extra large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon orange zest (2 oranges)
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teapsoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 3/4 cup orange juice (3 oranges)
- 3/4 cups chopped pecans
- Cream Cheese Spread
- 6 ounces cream cheese room temp
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tabelspoon orange zest

Yum and yum...this cake is fabulous with a great cup of Illy coffee or Starbucks if you must
- Cake:
- 1 1/2 stick of room temp butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 extra large eggs, room temp
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups sour cream
- 2 1/2 cups cake flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- Streusel:
- 3/4 cups brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons cold butter, cut into pieces
- 3/4 cups chopped walnuts or pecans
- Glaze:
- 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
Brussel Sprouts

My husband was never really fond of brussel sprouts until I made this recipe
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 ounces Italian pancetta or bacon 1/4 inch dice
- 1 1/2 pounds Brussel sprouts, trimmed and cut in half
- salt and pepper
- 3/4 cups golden raisins
- 1 3/4 cups chicken stock

Preheat 375 In 9" pie glass dish, fold and crimp pie crust
- 1 1/3 cups small pieces pitted dates
- 1/4 cup brandy
- 1/2 cup (packed) brown sugar
- 1/2 stick melted butter
- 3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2/3 cup dark corn syrup
- 3 large eggs
- 1 2/3 cups walnut pieces
- Pie crust
- 1 egg whisked well for egg wash

Oh what can I say about this cheesecake! It is completely divine and so elegant
- Crust:
- 3/4 cup cinnamon graham crackers: crushed
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup ground blanched almonds
- 3 tablespoons light brown sugar
- Cheesecake Filling:
- 2 8oz pkgs. cream cheese, room temperature
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 3 eggs, room temperature
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- l teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 oz of white chocolate, melted
- 1/2 cup ground blanched almonds
- Sour Cream Topping:
- l cup sour cream
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- l teaspoon vanilla
- Almond Praline:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cups sliced almonds
- 4 oz white chocolate, melted

- 1/2 cup water

Chicken-Fried Steak with Milk Gravy

This is made with cubed steak
- For the Gravy:
- 1/2 stick of butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 3 cups whole milk
- For the steak:
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 pound cubed steak
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
Potato Salad: Real French

This is a Jerry favorite. We eat this dish all the time in the summer
- 2 pounds potatoes, either red or white or both mixed
- 2 tablespoons white wine
- 2 tablespoons chicken stock
- 3 tablespoons champagne vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 3/4 pepper
- 10 tablespoon good olive oil
- 1/4 cup minced scallions
- 2 tablespoons minced flat leaf parsley
- 2 tablespoons basil leaves
Dip: Bleu cheese for wings

- 1/2 cup sour cream
- splash of milk
- worcester sauce
