Cornbread Recipe - from Paul Deen

This cornbread is great alone but I also use this in the Southern Cornbread Stuffing recipe from Paula Deen.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup self-rising corneal
  • 1/2 cup self-rising flour
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour batter into a greased shallow baking dish. Bake for approximately 20 - 25 minutes. I cut the cornbread while it is still hot.
