Marinade For Beef Jerky

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 3 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 cup worchestshire sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
- 2 lbs. round or flank steak or a rump roast
- ****(spices such as paprika, basil, ginger, marjoram, curry powder, rosemary, thyme, oregano, tabasco sauce are all things that you can add to the marinade.)
- ****(Meat should be 1/4" thick or in 1" strips.)
- (For a chewy texture, slice the meat with the grain, or across the grain for more tender jerky.)

Step 1
Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl. pour over meat slices, thoroughly wet all sides of meat and layer in the marinating dish. Cover tightly and marinate overnight in fridge overnight. Rotate meat layer every couple of hours if possible. Drain off the marinade and spread on dehydrator trays not over lapping.
