Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups mashed white potatoes
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/2 cup corn meal
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • Salt to taste
  • Fat for frying

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients and shape into patties about 1/4 inch thick. Chill patties about 15 minutes. Put fat in skillet and heat. Fry patties until brown on one side, turn, fry until brown on the other side.
