Ingredients

  • Au Gratin Topping:
  • 8 Tbsp Butter, I Stick - Melted
  • 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 1/2 Cups White Cheddar, Shredded
  • 1/4 Cups Yellow Cheddar, Shredded
  • 1/4 Cups American Cheese, Shredded
  • 1 Teaspoon Chicken Bullion, Powdered Or 2 Tbsp Liquid
  • 2 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 Teaspoon Pepper, Ground
  • 3 Lbs Russet Potatoes, Washed-Peeled-Sliced
  • 1 Stick Butter, Melted
  • 2 Cups Bread Crumbs
  • 2 Teaspoon Smoky Paprika

Preparation

Step 1

In sauce pan over medium heat melt butter. Stir flour until pasty. Add milk slowly - stirring out the lumps.
Cook 6 minutes until it is thick, then add all the cheese. Add bullion -nutmeg - pepper, whisk until it is thick.

Preheat oven to 350.
In a large casserole dish place potatoes in layers, and then cover with the cheese sauce.

In a bowl - mix AuGratin topping and stir well, top the casserole with the mixture, cover with foil and bake in oven for 1 hour, uncover the foil and bake 10 minutes or until the potatoes are soft. let stand for 10 min. and serve
