- 2 C self rising cornmeal mix
- (Made by 1C flour, 1TBS baking powder, 1 tsp salt, 1/4 cup butter)
- 1 1/4 C milk
- 1/4 C vegetable oil or shortening
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1-2 tsp sugar (optional)

Mix all ingredients together and bake at 425F for 25-30 minutes.
