In a Dutch oven, combine mix, water, tomatoes, tomato sauce and smoked sausage
- JAMBALAYA MIX:
- Jambalaya Mix, recipe follows
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 (14-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 pound fully cooked smoked sausage, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 1/2 to 3/4 pound medium, fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup long-grain rice
- 3 tablespoons dried minced onion
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
- 1 tablespoon beef bouillon granules
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 bay leaf
- In a small bowl, combine rice, onion, parsley, beef bouillon, thyme, garlic
- powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, salt, and bay leaf. Pour into cellophane bag. Store in an air-tight container

- 1 1/2 teaspoons instant espresso (optional) (3/4 tsp)
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons boiling water (1/4 Cup + 1 Tbsp)
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate , finely chopped (1 Oz)
- 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter , melted (2 Tbsp)
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (1/4 Cup + 1 Tbsp)
- 2 large eggs (1 Egg)
- 2 large egg yolks (1 Yolk)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (1 tsp)
- 2 1/2 cups (17 1/2 ounces) sugar (1 1/4 Cups)
- 1 3/4 cups (8 3/4 ounces) unbleached all-purpose flour (3/4 Cup + 2 Tbsp)
- 3/4 teaspoon table salt (3 Dashes = 1/8 tsp ea. x 3)
- 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate , cut into 1/2-inch pieces (3 Oz)

- 3 cups water
- 5 pounds boneless beef chuck roast, trimmed of fat
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt

- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 2 cups beef stock or water

- Optional add-ins:
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1 small zucchini
- 1 small handful of parsley
- 2 handfuls of leafy greens (kale (Tuscan cabbage), spinach, chard (silverbeet), etc.)
- 3 celery stalks
- 1 handful of grapes
- 1 apple
- 1/4 lime (peeling is optional but I left the peel on for more zest in the juice)
- 1 oz. wheatgrass (or 1/2 teaspoon wheatgrass powder)
- 1/2 teaspoon spirulina powder
- (If you are using a centrifugal juicer put your juice in a blender if you want to add powder)
