- 1/4 cup water

Crock-pot Roast with Potatoes, Carrots, and Onions

- 2-3 lb. roast (chuck, bottom, any beef roast)
- 5-6 potatoes, peeled or unpeeled, quartered
- 5-6 carrots, peeled and chopped into 2 inch pieces
- 1 large or 2 small onions, quartered

- 1 med onion, chopped 3-4 bread slices
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce 1 Tbs Worstershire sauce
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk Salt and pepper to taste

- 3 oz unsweet chocolate melted
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 2 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp/ salt
- 2 1/4 cup Swan's Cake flour
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup boiling water

- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 3 garlic cloves, smashed
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 12-ounce bottle stout
- 3/4 cup bourbon
- 1/4 cup (packed) light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 6 large sprigs thyme
- 3 celery stalks, chopped
- 2 plum tomatoes, cored, chopped
- 1 large carrot, chopped
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- Glaze
- 1/2 cup peach jam or preserves
- 2 teaspoons bourbon
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

- 2-3 lb Rump roast - browned 2-3 min on all sides

- 4-5 potatoes, chopped
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1-2 tsp. parsley
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- peppercorns to taste
- salt to taste
- 3 cloves garlic

- 1 cup light or dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 6 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cider vinegar
- 3/4 cup heavy cream, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon rum extract
- Four 12-ounce bottles cream soda
